KATHARINA HUNKE

Born in 1977 and raised in Hamm, a small city near the Rhine Valley in the West of Germany, I graduated from high school with A-levels in 1996, pursued a teaching degree at university and completed a commercial apprenticeship.



Following my wish to live abroad, I went on to work in Great Britain, Egypt and Australia for over ten years. In doing so I developed a distinct susceptibility for the emotional needs as well as communicative characteristics of the most varied people. I became deeply familiar with regional particularities, cultural sensibilities and various target markets.



In 2010 I returned to Germany and applied my abilities successfully in the Marketing department of a business group with international operations.  In order to follow my enthusiasm for language and communication entirely, I decided to become a freelance copy editor, writer and translator two years later. I now live and work in Cologne.
